I’ve Missed Some Days In My Writing Challenge… Does That Make Me A Failure?

How serious is it when we mess up our personal challenges?

I’ve managed to post daily until this week, through busy work days, busy evenings, a wedding, a trip away, several nights out, visiting family and friends and having guests stay at our house. Most days have been busy from start to finish, and the days that haven’t been I’ve just wanted to slob out on the couch!

Unfortunately, this week I have slipped — majorly. First I missed a day, and felt really bad about it. Then I missed another two days, and now I feel like a bit of a failure.

They say it takes 21 days to make a habit, I didn’t live up to my daily challenge around the 21st day of the month. Does this mean my efforts are now wasted?

Not at all!

I have said to loved ones throughout this month, I won’t be carrying on with daily posting after May. I envy those who can spend quality time devoted to Medium and writing, unfortunately I have a busy full time job, as well as other life commitments, which prevents me from doing this. Don’t get me wrong, I love writing and will be posting as much as I can, while still ensuring I have a healthy work — life balance.

This is a short and sweet update, however keep your eyes peeled for my next post — hopefully tomorrow — it is an exciting update for you all!
